A Writing Journey – Part 2 of 8

My goal of getting lots of writing complete this week failed.

I DID finish formatting The Wolf’s Return after a final listen through (listening helps me find ALL the mistakes). This means The Wolf’s Return is set to be released this Tuesday! This is extra exciting.

I did learn some things about the manuscript I’m trying to push out though.

1. I started at the wrong place. I’m trying to start the story too early. I need to start is at the meet cute (when the love interests meets).
2. I need names of things. Suggestions are welcome. I need names for:
   1. The shifter pack. They are mostly wolf shifters. They got money initially from the gold rush in North GA, then through investing in the Railroad, and now through a Tech company that creates Apps.
   2. A coffee shop. Owned by my necromancer. She likes coffee.
   3. Last names for everyone.

I had a few bi/lesbian friends read through the steamy scene I wrote. Their comments are promising. I do need to work on my ‘heteronormative’ phrases. I can do that. Especially if I have help.

All in all, I have a chance at completing this work in time. I just need to write around a book release, my son’s birthday, his party, a small string of visitors, traveling for my mom’s birthday, Thanksgiving, and random Scouts commitments. I’ll be fine.
