A writing journey – part 1 of 8.
Is is possible for me to push out a novella in a month?
Honestly, I don’t know. I signed up to be a part of an anthology that comes out in February 2022 (because I obviously don’t understand time management). I have a basic plot. I have characters with names. I have settings. Though, I haven’t started writing. It’s due to the anthology group mid December.
AND…I’m not one hundred percent sure about the gender of one of my main characters.
I am interested in writing a Female/Female romance. I don’t know if I can pull it off. Let me be more specific. I don’t know if I can write a realistic sex scene between two women. That being said, I have read many an unrealistic sex scenes between men and women. I mean, you have to give some wiggle room for shifter strength and the imagination of the author.
Here’s the terrible cover I made to inspire me while I write. 😂
I mean, my experience with women is limited, not non-existent. I have a better chance of writing a great steamy FF scene than a spicy MM scene.
Over the next week (while I’m formatting The Wolf’s Return), I’ll write a FF sex scene and have a friend read it. I have a number of lesbian and bisexual friends, but I don’t know if they read a lot of steamy romance. I should ask. Or if you’re reading this and are thinking “Hey, I’m a woman who’s had relations with other women and I’d like to help,” please message me. Email me. I love input.
I also have two lesbian romance novels to read. Research. Am I right?
Stay tuned. I plan to keep a mini journal of sorts, to share my progress with everyone. It should be a laugh.
Wish me luck! 💜
