Now as you can tell from the series title, these eight books are about Sherlock Holmes and Elizabeth Bennet teaming up and solving mysteries. It’s a great fan-fiction pair.
Mitchell has cast her spell on me. Matt, with his blue eyes and self-awareness. He is honest, confident, and humble all at once. Somewhere between the way he speaks, acts, and looks is the kind of guy that makes me drool.
I love it. It’s a paranormal romance (my favorite) that opens with Mackenzie standing in front of a burning building with no memories and a voice in her head telling her to run. And that is one hell of a hook.
Chant does an excellent job of creating diverse interesting characters. Getting to know the hotshot crew is truly a pleasure. What I love the most about this book is how she is expanding the universe.
You have Cassie the computer nerd virgin, sexy firefighter Ryan, sex toys appearing in the square, dildo football, and a raccoon contributing to the chaos.
Pitch Black was a smooth read. The character’s intensity and story hook drew me in before I was even sure of the character’s name.
