A Writing Journey – Part 5 of 5.
I finished my novella, The Wolf and the Necromancer. It is finished. It is done.
I submitted the piece to the anthology Wednesday night a few hours before the deadline. I’m still worried that the lady in charge will contact me and say, “No, it’s crap.”
I’m sure others feel that way. Imposter syndrome appears to be worse in the writing industry. Or maybe we talk about it more.
The novella is a little over 19 thousand words. I wrote and edited it in eight-ish weeks. And had a major depressive episode which caused me to consider stepping out of the anthology. Even on medication, depression can sneak up on me from time to time.
I am truly proud of this novella. It’s a dangerous thought. To be proud makes me vulnerable to criticism. Or rather, make the criticism hurt more.
Anyway, the novella will appear in the anthology Alpha Shifters Furever: A Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy Anthology (Shifters Unleashed) on February 1, 2022. That’s a month and a half away.
It’s the newest Shifters Unlimited Anthology. You can pre-order now. I image most of the stories are male/female or reverse haram. Ideally, there is something for everyone. The anthology will only be available for about six months.
